About
I fell in love with Metals Art and Jewelry Design after my first class at California State University of Long Beach. At the time I was somewhat lost and was studying Art Education by default. I found Metals Art challenging and greatly gratifying. I realized it was what I was meant to do, because throughout my life I had tried many things but when they started to become more challenging, I often found myself lacking the motivation or desire to push through the obstacles. However, with Metals I was eager to face problems and conquer them, knowing that on the other side the satisfaction would be immense. I have always strived to push my chosen medium beyond the expected, and am inspired by artists who do the same. I believe that I was successful at my goal with my previous gallery shows and hopefully will be with the ones to come, and am keen to bring the same surprising qualities to my wearable jewelry pieces.
